Introduction to Science Fair - Monday September 22 @ 7 PM – Orchard

We invite you to attend an introduction to the wonderful world of Science Fairs. Is your child in the 7th - 12th grade?

With the jam-packed schedules of today's families, why would either a student or a parent want to add one more major activity? Seriously, it can be an excellent way to earn significant prizes, qualify for scholarships, and distinguish a college application.

Only coaches can register their teams online.   The fee:  Jr. FLL - $40 per each student and $80 per each student in a FLL or FTC team.    

Professional Panel / Field Trip

Professionals from fields related to the challenge meet and give lectures about the FLL challenge.

Presentation Night

Presentation night is an opportunity for FLL teams to practice their presentation in front of families, other teams and to be judged by trained judges.

YIS Scrimmage

MANDATORY - Jr. FLL "pre-Expo" practice, YIS pep rally, Annual Meeting, and FLL robot scrimmage for teams to practice and gain some timed table experience before competition. T-shirts are also handed out at this event to teams who are fully registered (pls remember to get your t-shirt artwork on time - so much more fun for the kids to have cool t-shirts!!)

FLL Table Build on Sept 14 =Please RSVP by Sept 12

This is an opportunity for new teams to have help building FLL competition tables. VERY recommended for new teams! You need a table to practice your missions on. Please rsvp to Mike Ferris by Sept 12th so he can arrange for proper materials and his address.

FTC = CREO, RobotC Workshop at Rockwell Automation

We are running a Creo workshop at Rockwell Automation on Sept 6. 8:30 to noon and then the FTC game is revealed. Tomas Kosa is teaching it for the second year. Probably best to bring computers with software loaded just to be safe.
